OTHER MINIATURE RAILWAY PERIODICALS

It is only courteous to mention the Heywood Society Journal's contemporaries:

{Narrow Gauge News} NARROW GAUGE NEWS, published six times a year by the Narrow Gauge Railway Society.

This well produced A4 format magazine includes a section in each issue devoted to miniature railways, provided by the Miniature Railway Records Officer, Dave Holroyde. It is pretty much unrivalled for its news coverage. Other sections are devoted to narrow gauge lines, and events overseas.

The NGRS also publish THE NARROW GAUGE four times a year, which has longer and historical articles.

For more details you can link to the Narrow Gauge Railway Society website.

{7žin Gauge News} 7¼" GAUGE NEWS, published quarterly by the 7¼in Gauge Society.

A5 format with regular colour photographs, this has a regular diet of product news and practical articles.

Membership of the Society currently costs £20 per annum. Further details can be obtained from the Membership Secretary, 115 Tom Lane, Sheffield S10 3PE.

{Grand Scales Quarterly} THE GRAND SCALES QUARTERLY, edited and published by Greg and Susan Robinson

An excellent publication produced in the United States, but with worldwide content on all manner of miniature railways from 12in gauge upwards.

The GSQ has its own website which is a 'must see' for all miniature railway enthusiasts on the internet.

7+ RAILROADER, edited and published by Greg and Susan Robinson

This quarterly magazine is  good companion to the Grand Scales Quarterly, being devoted principally to railways of 7―in and 7žin gauges, largely in the USA.
